Trusting God’s Timing in the New Year
The start of a new year stirs fresh hopes and dreams. We set goals, make plans, and long for change. Yet, as the months unfold, we may find ourselves waiting, waiting for answers, for progress, or for promises to come to pass. In these moments, it’s easy to feel like God is slow. But Scripture reminds us that His timing is never off. He is not slow; He is purposeful.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”Ecclesiastes 3:11
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you…” 2 Peter 3:9
Think of a seed planted in winter. It rests in the soil, hidden and still, yet all the while, God is nurturing it for the right season of growth. In the same way, God is working beneath the surface of our life, preparing us for the blessings and breakthroughs He has planned.
Also Consider Joseph, whose dreams seemed to shatter when he was sold into slavery and thrown into prison. Years of waiting and uncertainty eventually revealed God’s greater purpose. What seemed like delay was actually divine preparation.
As you step into this new year, trust that God’s plans for you are good. Lean into His patience, knowing that He sees the end from the beginning. The waiting isn’t wasted, it’s shaping you, strengthening your faith, and aligning everything in His perfect time.
This year, may we walk with peace, trusting that God’s timing is always worth the wait!
